Cristiano Ronaldo Returns To Manchester For Talks

Cristiano Ronaldo has today returned to Manchester to hold talks with Man United manager Erik ten Hag.

It is not yet known when the Portugal international will return to training ahead of the new season.

David Ornstein first reported the news earlier this evening;

The 37 year-old wants to leave the club this summer and aims to play in the Champions League.

Ronaldo was not apart of the Man United pre-season tour squad that travelled to Thailand and Australia this month.

It was reported that he was dealing with family issues but has since flown back to England to begin these talks.

Erik ten Hag has stated his desire to use Ronaldo in his plans for the upcoming season and the club are adamant that the player is not for sale.

Atletico Madrid and Chelsea have both been rumoured for the CR7’s signature but neither club have made formal offers as of yet.

Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is actively looking for solutions for his client.

Man United start their Premier League campaign on August 7th at home to Brighton.
