Donny van de Beek Agrees Terms With Man Utd

Manchester United fans rejoice! (well nearly!) It’s looking like we may just have our first signing of the summer transfer window!

It gives me great pleasure to report that Manchester United have had a £37.5 million (€40m) offer accepted by Ajax for 23-year old Dutch midfield maestro Donny van de beek.

It is also being reported that United have agreed personal terms with the player and his agent so it looks like this move really is a formality now pending a medical and all the paperwork being completed.

It is expected that Donny van de Beek will fly into Manchester on Monday or Tuesday latest to complete his medical and an announcement will be made by the club in the coming hours/days.

Donny van de Beek made 23 appearances for Ajax this season gone, scoring 8 goals and notching 6 assists in the process.

Before lockdown it was reported that van de Beek was nearing a move to Real Madrid but that move broke down with Madrid pulling out of the deal leaving the path clear for Manchester United to submit an offer today which was duly accepted.

Donny van de Beek has represented the Netherlands 10 times so far in his career and will surely be a mainstay in the side for the next decade.

Hopefully this starts the influx of players to United this summer as it’s still plain to see that reinforcements are needed if Solskjaer is going to see progress made in the new season at Manchester United.

Man Utd fans are still hopeful of a deal for England international and Dortmund gunslinger Jadon Sancho but a deal remains yet to be reached between the two clubs.
