Jesse Lingard is to be offered a new contract worth £130,000 according to The Daily Star.

The Englishman, who is spending the Euros at home, has one year left on his current United deal with the new proposed contract keeping Lingard at the club for another three years plus a further year to extend as an option.

Jesse was loaned out to West Ham United last season where he was a big part in securing a Europa League spot for the London Club.

Rumours have been circulating that he was to join The Hammers permanently this summer however West Ham are said to be struggling to accommodate Jesse’s current wages which may becoming a stumbling block in their desires to sign the 28 year old attacker.

Lingard scored 9 goals and recorded 5 assists in his 6-month spell at West Ham however with the attacking talent at Man United’s disposal, it is hard to see Jesse breaking into the first team.

Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, Amad Diallo, Dan James and Anthony Elanga are all options for the Premier League runners up and are likely to add Jadon Sancho to the equation.

There is no word as yet of what Jesse Lingard’s plans are for his future and whether he stays at his boyhood club or seeks a new challenge away from Manchester.
