Man United Reportedly Interested In Ruben Neves and Leon Goretzka

Despite neither Jadon Sancho or Raphael Varane being officially confirmed by the club, the transfer saga continues as Man United are now reportedly looking at both Ruben Neves and Leon Goretzka.

TalkSPORT, who aren’t the most trusted source, broke the news earlier today that Man United have moved ahead of Arsenal in the race for the Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.

It is said that Wolves, who are now under new manager Bruno Lage, have put a £35m price tag on the player.

Rumours also suggest that Bruno Fernandes is keen for his fellow Portuguese international to join the club and is said to be playing an active role in these preceedings.

Neves has scored 20 goals and recorded 10 assists for Wolves since his arrival from FC Porto in 2017.

It is not known whether United’s interest is based on a defensive midfield role or with an eye on Paul Pogba’s situation as a replacement for the Frenchman.

However, Ruben Neves isn’t the only midfielder United have been linked with this afternoon.

As per Christian Falk on SPORTBILD, Man United have spoken to Leon Goretzka’s agents and offered specific salary figures.

Goretzka is entering the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich and is yet to agree terms with the Bundesliga champions.

Barcelona, who are facing issues of their own, and Real Madrid were front runners for the transfer but it is reported that Man United have moved ahead of the two Spanish giants in this saga.

Agents of the German international are said to be “irritated” over new contract negotiations or lack there of.

New Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann, a manager we all know so well, wants Goretzka to stay at the club.
