Axel’s loan spell acts as a return to the Villians as he was a part of the team that took the Midlands club to Championship play-off glory in 2019.
The aim is for the Aston Villa loan to give Tuanzebe that extra bit of development so he is ready to challenge for a first team spot next campaign.
The English defender has captained Man United at every level including for the first team in the Carabao Cup tie against Rochdale in September 2019.
“Of course, with Raphael coming in, I can see Axel going out” said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer previously.
Axel Tuanzebe becomes the seventh loan this summer following in the footsteps of Facundo Pellistri to Deportivo Alaves, Nathan Bishop to Mansfield Town, Tahith Chong to Birmingham, Di’Shon Bernard to Hull, Will Fish to Stockport and Reece Devine and St Johnstone.
