Tom Heaton Returns To Man United
Tom Heaton has completed his return to Manchester United by signing on a two-year deal from Aston Villa. His contract is set to last until 2023 with an option of a further year.
Heaton will more than likely be used as a third-choice option or perhaps even a second choice depending on the futures of David De Gea and Dean Henderson.
The former United academy product will be announced officially by the club once his contract at Aston Villa expires and will return to Old Trafford after over 10 years away from the club.
Heaton left in the summer of 2010 to pursue first-team football and has since built a reputation as a very reliable and dependable goalkeeper.
His performances for the likes of Burnley and Aston Villa led the goalkeeper to called up to the preliminary squad for England’s World Cup campaign in 2018.
Heaton will become the first signing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in this transfer window with United fans hoping it’s the first of many to come.
