Manchester United Sign Antony
Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Brazilian forward Antony from Ajax, making him the fifth official summer signing under Erik Ten Hag.
Antony joins for a reported £84million with add-ons included in the deal.
The 22-year-old will be be eager to link up with his former manager and was desperate to make the move once the initial negotiations had started.
This move makes Antony the record fee ever received for an Eredivisie club.

The official club statement reads: “Manchester United has reached agreement with Ajax for the transfer of Antony, subject to a medical, player terms being finalised, and international clearance.
Antony has 31 goals and 27 assists in 134 club appearances for Ajax and Sao Paulo, and two goals and two assists in nine senior appearances for his native Brazil.
He has won two Eredivisie titles, and a gold medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics.”
Antony’s desire to reunite with Erik Ten Hag was reportedly what persuaded club officials to seek out a move for the player. The Brazilian international had essentially, went on strike at Ajax in order to fulfill his dream of playing in the Premier League.
