United Still Confident on Sancho

The transfer saga of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United appears to have intensified.
Yesterday, a well-respected German reporter, Heiko Wasser, hinted on twitter that “Jadon Sancho’s head is already at Manchester United”. It was surprising that Sancho was not in the starting line-up for Dortmund’s game against Leipzig despite his recent good form on the pitch. It was also reported that Sancho had liked Wassers tweet, which was quickly removed.
Let’s not forget Harry Maguire did a similar thing during his transfer negotiations with Leicester in August last year, explaining when he liked a tweet “Maguire to Utd” it was done in error. 4 weeks later he was holding a ‘Red Devil’ shirt.
So is Jadon Sancho coming to Manchester United? We can’t guarantee it but this deal is now looking very likely to happen. The evidence is starting to accumulate. There has also been numerous reports of Sancho dropping hints during his podcasts and being interviewed by the media.
On United’s last Premier League game against Tottenham, it was glaringly obvious that the team lacked penetration on the right hand side. Dan James looked off the pace and lost the ball many times. Sancho as we have always said, ticks all of United’s boxes. Time will tell but this deal is looking extremely positive.
Other players United have recently been linked with included PSG’S Edinson Cavani and Thomas Meunier. Both players have turned down the chance to extend their contracts at the Ligue 1 champions which prevents them from playing in either cup or Champions League finals. Both players’ contracts expire on 30th June. Are United interested? Well, they have been in the recent past, mostly under Mourinho but under Ole, Cavani & Meunier don’t seem to fit in the current player transfer strategy. Therefore I can’t see either of these players donning a United shirt in the foreseeable future.
