The improved bid was sent directly to The Glazer Family alongside The Raine Group, who are assisting with the sale, earlier this week.
The proposal is reported to be around $6.5bn and it is thought that an extra $1bn is pledged investment into infrastructure and recruitment.
Jassim has filed two “take it or leave it” bids since the 28th April deadline but is still against Ineos billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe who is reportedly keen on keeping all six Glazer family members involved with the club.
Rumours from those near the club thought that Sir Jim was favourite for the takeover but it is unknown what impact this new bid has on the Glazers.
A potential reason behind the final bid is the immediacy of the opening of the transfer window with Jassim wanting to heavily back Erik ten Hag in the summer market.
