Manchester United A Step Closer To Varane

Manchester United have moved a step closer to securing the services of Raphael Varane.

The player, who is currently at Real Madrid, has reportedly decided on his future with the player seemingly on board with moving to United this summer.

It has now reached the stage where United have been permitted to speak to the defender.

Fabrizio Romano has suggested that the player would have no problems with the terms.

Varane,28, has been with Real Madrid since 2011 after joining from RC Lens. Since joining Los Blancos he has achieved everything in the game.

The defender has one year left on his contract and Madrid is potentially looking to sell him to fund a move for Kylian Mbappe.

United need to be careful though. The player could potentially be using United as a ploy to get a better deal at Real Madrid.

Similarly to 2015 where his former teammate Sergio Ramos, did the same thing.
