New Signing Wins September Player Of The Month Award

Christian Eriksen has won Manchester United’s Player of the Month award for September, the club have announced.

The Danish, who scored a wonder goal on international duty yesterday, has been a staple in the Man United midfield since signing on a free transfer in the summer.

The new signing (62%) beat both Jadon Sancho (28%) and Raphael Varane (10%) to the fan vote.

August’s winner Lisandro Martinez didn’t make the poll despite continuing his fine form at the back for the Red Devils.

Although he has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award, forward Marcus Rashford wasn’t shortlisted for the club award.

The Englishmen scored twice and assisted once during the month that saw United win 3 games in all competitions.

Erik ten Hag has also been shortlisted for Premier League Manager of the Month after winning both league games in September.

The club have a 3 wins and 1 loss record in the month following victories over Leicester, Arsenal and FC Sheriff and a defeat to Real Sociedad.
