Manchester United vs. Brighton Postponed Following Covid 19 Outbreak

As per statements from both clubs, this Saturday’s match between Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion has been postponed due to a Covid 19 outbreak among the Red Devil players and staff.

United’s game with Brentford, which was scheduled to be played on Tuesday, was also postponed earlier this week.

This joins the list of 4 other Premier League fixtures that has been postponed over the last week with Tottenham vs. Brighton, Manchester United vs. Brentford, Burnley vs. Watford and Leicester vs. Tottenham all being called out due to various Covid 19 outbreaks.

A new variant of Covid called Omicron is currently surging through the UK as Prime Minister Boris Johnson urges over 18’s to get a booster jab.

This may lead to the Premier League suspending the season until boxing day to try and combat the rise in positive Coronavirus tests.

Both the Brentford and Brighton games have yet to be rescheduled.
