Sancho Transfer Close as Both Parties “Cautiously Optimistic”

1

Both Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are “cautiously optimistic” a deal can be done regarding the future of Jadon Sancho.

The bulk of the deal regarding agreements has never been the issue and the only roadblock left in the transfer is the fee.

While Dortmund’s fee isn’t confirmed, it is rumoured to be significantly less than last years £108m value due to economic effects and the impact of the pandemic.

The English international is also into the final two years of his contract which could help United land the star.

Dortmund have also set a transfer deadline which hasn’t been made public. Man United ignored the deadline set last year but are willing to get the deal done before the mystery date this time around.

Matt Judge, who is playing an active role in the deal, is wanting the deal done by the Euros which starts with Italy vs. Turkey next Friday.

The Glazers will be keen to land the young superstar to brush over the many protests during the latter months of the season.
