Kalvin Phillips To Make The Switch To United?

Newly appointed Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, will already have made plans in regards to the shape and the structure of the Manchester United squad ahead of the new season.

It has been reported that the club, will finally address the ever-pressing issue of the holding midfielder role. Whilst the likes of Declan Rice and Aurélien Tchouaméni are either too expensive or have plans elsewhere respectively, one name that has drawn interest is Kalvin Phillips.

Phillips, 26, is an England international who was pivotal in the Euro 2020 performance for his national side which garnered him some recognition. Despite having an injury-hit campaign, Phillips is seen as a key figure in the Leeds United set-up.

Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic has reportedly discussed United, exploring the deal with Phillips which could see the club conclude a deal worth £50m.
