Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is currently absent from the training camp as he is recovering from COVID-19.

The club released a statement earlier today confirming the fitness update of the number 26.

The keeper withdrew from the Euro 2020 England squad due to a hip problem which he has since confirmed to have recovered from.

He tested positive for the virus a few weeks ago and is said to still be feeling the effects of it.

“Dean Henderson will miss Manchester United’s Scotland training camp while he continues his recovery from prolonged fatigue after contracting a COVID-19 infection three weeks ago.” the club statement said.

“He is expected to be training again soon.”

Most players returned from their international holidays today and joined up with the rest of the squad before Saturday’s friendly against Everton.

Marcus Rashford didn’t return to the camp as he is undergoing surgery that will keep him out of action for 3 months.

United’s Premier League campaign starts at Old Trafford against Leeds United on 14th August at 12:30pm.
