Chelsea Rejects Manchester United's Third Bid For Mason Mount

Reported late last night, Chelsea have rejected Manchester United’s third and “final” bid for Mason Mount.

The bid was tabled at £50m + £5m add-ons, an improvement on the previous two bids Man United had offered.

Despite reports suggesting it would be the final bid for the England star, Man United have responded with a 4th counter bid of £58m plus £7m in add-ons, a figure which is closer to Chelsea’s £60m valuation of the player.

The Blues have offered Man United to meet them in person to come to a solution.

Mason Mount has publicly stated his desire to leave the club despite having one year left on his deal with Man United and Erik ten Hag eager to resolve the transfer saga in time for the midfielder to be part of the club’s pre-season tour in the US.
