Two Chief Scouting Figures Leave Man United

Two “significant” figures on the scouting side at Manchester United have left the club.

The club have announced chief scouts Jim Lawlor and Marcel Bout have departed the club earlier today.

In a statement, a club spokesperson says the pair “leave the club with our warmest thanks for (their) significant contribution and our very best wishes for the future”.

This comes a day after interim manager Ralf Rangnick made comment about the number of injuries in certain players and hinting that the scouting team is at fault.

Lawlor came to the club in 2005 and was promoted to chief scout in 2014.

Bout was first introduced to the squad as a coach under Louis Van Gaal before moving into scouting later on.

This move could spell the start of a “rebuild” that will be overseen by Erik Ten Hag.
