Transfer Update – United Still Confident On 3 players

With confirmation that United agreed Odion Ighalo’s loan until January 2021, some people are asking whether Man Utd will actually sign another player this summer.

According to sources, Manchester United are still very confident of signing at least 2, maybe 3 players this summer. A right winger, central midfielder and a striker. All sources confirm Jadon Sancho is still our primary target, with the right hand side position remaining a problem. Sancho fits the bill. He’s young, a home grown English player and potentially has a huge resale value years from now and wants to return to England. The signs are looking very positive that this transfer will take place.

Only yesterday our talisman Bruno Fernandes liking a post on twitter by Sancho showing off his
latest tattoo.

In Germany even Stefan Freund has hinted the player could leave this summer, Freund told talkSPORT: “Jadon is ready to play for Liverpool or Man United, no question, because his stats are unbelievable. That shows that he can take the next step.”

There is also suggestions that Dortmund have kept Sancho on the bench in recent games due to lack of fitness and being linked with other clubs. Confirmation of this came from Borussia Dortmund assistant coach Edin Terzic when he spoke to Turkish TV channel TRT Spor, suggesting Sancho has been distracted. He said “He’s a young player and is one of our most important players. I have to say that, the transfer speculations are affecting him. We have to support him in a positive way. I want all of our players to be happy.”

Either way, United will almost certainly make a bid for Sancho this summer but it remains to be seen if Ed Woodward and the board sanction such a large deal. This deal likely will not be conducted quickly and could continue until deadline day. United may hope Sancho puts in a transfer request to help lure him away as the board and owners will not want to pay Dortmund’s minimum £90m valuation of the player. The cat and mouse game of signing players with huge reputations begins…

Central midfielder Saul Niguez of La Liga contenders Atletico Madrid impressed in this season’s Champions League and has also teased a possible move to a new club with Manchester United touted as a potential next suitor. Is Saul playing games with our hearts? If Saul and United did announce the transfer at this stage it would come as a huge surprise. A player many United fans would love to see join our midfield ranks. He ticks things over for Spain and Atleti, that can’t be a bad thing and with the future of Paul Pogba in question who knows if Woodward & Co may just have an Ace up their sleeves.
