Son Of Former Qatar Prime Minister Bids For Manchester United

Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani has submitted a “substantial” bid for 100% of Manchester United.

Al Thani, son of former Qatar prime minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, is the current chairman of one of the biggest Qatari banks.

A statement was released earlier this evening confirming the bid.

As per the above statement, the bid will be completely debt free, a stark difference from the Glazers purchase in 2005.

The Glazers have been spotted in Qatar over the past few months.

Qatar have been recent favourites to buy Man United with Ineos owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe also interested in the club.

Reports suggest that along with Ratcliffe and Qatar, two further bids are expected by today’s 22:00 “soft deadline”.

More details will be released surrounding this Qatar bid in due course.
