Ryan Giggs Charged With Assaulting Two Women
Former Man United midfielder Ryan Giggs has been charged with assaulting two women last November in Salford.
The current Wales manager was accused of causing actual bodily harm to a woman in her 30s and common assault on a woman in her 20s.
A separate charge has been made for his “coercive or controlling behaviour”.
Ryan has been bailed to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on 28th April.
Giggs has been Wales manager since 2018 but doubts over his future will begin to surface.
The Football Association of Wales has confirmed that assistant manager Robert Page will take charge of the national side in this summer’s rescheduled Euros.
In a statement, Ryan said the following:
“I have full respect for the due process of law and understand the seriousness of the allegations.
“I look forward to clearing my name.”
He also confirmed he would be pleading not guilty when in court.
Police were called to an address in Worsley on 1st November last year where a woman was treated for minor injuries.
Ryan Giggs is considered by many to be a Man United great and a footballing legend but these charges will shine the Welshman in a negative light.
