Raphael Varane Flying To Manchester Today For Medical

It wouldn’t be a Man United transfer if it wasn’t delayed.

Since the famous “here we go” words were said over a week ago, the Raphael Varane transfer has been on the backburner but we now have updates on the situation.

Following Visa issues, the French defender is set to fly to Manchester today ahead of his medical next week.

Raphael will have to quarantine for 5 days before he is able to travel to Carrington to complete his medical on Wednesday.

Presuming Varane passes the medical, Man United have until Friday to register him for the opening game against Leeds on Saturday.

Raphael Varane’s contract will keep the French defender at the club until June 2025, with United’s customary one-year extension added.
