Edinson Cavani Agrees Contract Extension With United
Give It Give It Give It to Edi Cavani. Pass him the contract and watch him sign an extension.
Edinson Cavani has agreed to extended his Man United contract for a further year, keeping him at the club until June 2022.
The Uruguayan striker was doubtful over signing an extension earlier in the season after reports say he was feeling homesick.
However, he has since decided to stay another year after talks with his family and the club.
“Here I felt the confidence of the manager. I’ve not yet been able to play in front of the Old Trafford crowd and that is something I cannot wait to do” said Cavani.
His time got off to a rocky start after his deadline signing, having to start his life in Manchester self isolating due to the Covid 19 guidelines.
He was then caught up in social media controversy after using a racial term towards his friend, a term that has different meaning in England compared to South America.
Since then he has really got his head down tallying a current toal of 15 goals and 5 assists with his best moment undoubtedly coming in the 3-2 comeback win at Southampton.
As his quote says, Edinson is yet to feel the roar of the Old Trafford crowd and it’s a dream for both him and the fans to see him net down the Stretford End, a moment we will more or less see next season.
