Talks are ongoing with the two parties and Henderson is also considering the move.
Nottingham Forest, who won promotion to the Premier League by beating Hudderfield Town in the Playoff final, are looking for a new keeper.
Brice Samba told the club his intentions to pursue a move away, likely to French side Lens.
Man United are no stranger to loaning to the historical club with English midfielder James Garner aiding the side to promotion last season.
Is this a good move for the club and for Dean? Let us know your thoughts below.
