Apple Reportedly Interested In Buying Manchester United
Multi-trillion dollar technology company Apple have expressed interest in buying Manchester United, Daily Star reports state.
The club is set to be put up for sale by The Glazer Family after announcing a process for strategic alternatives in investment.
This is said to come in a full sale of the club.
Apple is currently worth around $2.3 trillion and would make Man United the richest club in world football if they takeover.
The annual revenue of the tech giants is reportedly around £326bn.
Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, is said to be keen on building a state-of-the-art stadium that would be valued as one of the best in the world.
Apple aren’t the only ones said to be interested in the club.
Owner of the Inditex empire Amancio Ortega is also keen on bidding for the club when it becomes officially on the market.
Fashion chain Zara is under the Inditex umbrella.
Ortega, 86, is worth $61.3 billion according to Forbes.
Breaking yesterday, Man United fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe also intends to bid for the club when possible.
Amazon and Facebook are also in discussions about launching respective bids.
